EOSL vs EOL – What support do I need?
End of Service Life (EOSL)
End of service life means that the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) will no longer provide technical support or other types of support services for the specified equipment after this date. While it may be possible to still get the OEM support it will come at a premium cost.
End of Life (EOL)
Unlike EOSL, where the OEM may still offer technical support at a premium, EOL means all support has officially ended. Usually, this is because the product is no longer being sold and no resources will be allocated to supporting the equipment.
DTI’s Third Party Maintenance services can help extend the life of OEM equipment at a lower cost, with improved response time and greater reliability than the OEM. DTI helps customers get the most from their IT investment when their equipment has reached EOSL or EOL.
